1. Three-color rule
The best way to dress well and look classy is by following the three-color rule: no more than three colors per outfit. The idea behind this rule is that when you wear more than three colors, it can look clumsy sometimes. Also, sticking with neutral colors will help your look stay timeless and will make any outfit easy to pair with other items in your closet. This helps cut down on waste and saves money! The three-color rule is a great way to look classy without breaking the bank. For example, a navy blue shirt can be matched with brown shoes and khaki pants. You don't have to buy expensive clothes to look good--you just need an eye for what colors complement each other!
The three-color rule is actually quite easy to understand. Even if you blend patterns, prints, and textures, the rule is to limit your ensemble to no more than three colors. Because when you are wearing fewer than three colors, the pattern mixing, and other styling choices will appear planned rather than chaotic. Additionally, selecting clothing will become less stressful. If you want to look effortless, sophisticated and put together, stick to wearing no more than three colors per outfit unless you're adding black or white as an additional accent. However, not everyone has the time to spend hours choosing their outfits.
Add some color or print to your outfit, and abide by the three-color rule. Choose an outfit with a cool or warm undertone while maintaining the same undertone. Some colors have a more neutral tendency and go well with both styles of clothing. You should coordinate your accessories with your clothing since it makes a look more effortless and this is an incredible strategy to introduce color. Try tying in the color of one of your accessories with one of the tones from your clothing if you don't like the color-blocking look so much. If you don't want to, you don't have to wear three different colors. Focus on positioning your best tints close to your face. That could refer to a shirt, jacket, or scarf. Play around with different combinations to find what works for you.
2. Wear a Blazer/Structured coat
A blazer or structured coat is an essential part of your wardrobe, as it will help you look more put-together and stylish. A great way to save money while still looking classy is to buy one when it's majorly on sale. For Example, I buy blazers from Express or Nordstrom when they are on sale, also Zara has some great blazers that won’t break the bank. If you're not sure where to start, I’ve got some tips on what kinds of things look good when they're worn!
First off: it's important that whatever kind of coat/blazer you buy fits well in the shoulders area so that it doesn't make them look disproportionate compared to the rest of your body. Additionally, make sure there aren't any wrinkles anywhere else on either side since those tend to create an unflattering effect!
You'll also want to ensure that any buttons have been sewn on securely so they won't fall off while wearing it--this will help keep your look classy instead of tacky!
When we think of summer layering, anything light and breezy like denim jackets, button-down shirts, and kimonos tends to come to mind first. However, what about the Blazers? Blazers are one of the most undervalued summer layering pieces due to their structure, tailoring, and undeniable chicness, but they rightly deserve to earn a spot in your warm-weather collection. The combination of an oversize blazer and a feminine maxi dress is completely out of the ordinary and results in such an intriguing silhouette. You can keep this structured look in rotation all year long if you layer a winter blazer over an all-white ensemble.
When worn with a lovely crop top in the summer, the long, sleek lines of a blazer are the ideal design element to lend some length to your look. Instead of matching your blazer and bottoms, choose a pair of high-waisted jeans for the ultimate cool-girl look. Keeping things loose is the comfiest and street-style acceptable method to layer over big suits and structured blazers. Your greatest option for adding layers easily is a structured coat; choose one that is long in length and naturally fits your body perfectly.
Wearing a blazer or structured coat is a great way to look put together without spending a lot.
3. Head-to-Toe Neutral Colors or Monochromatic
Neutrals are the best way to wear a classy look on a budget. You can easily mix and match them with other items in your closet, and they're great for wearing during any season. Plus, there are so many options! Try wearing all black or all white with just one accessory that adds a pop of color (like a scarf). Or if you want something more subtle, try pairing different shades of browns together until they look like one cohesive outfit: black pants + chocolate brown shirt + caramel colored shoes + chocolate brown belt = perfection!
A monochromatic look is one that uses various shades of one color. For example, you could wear a black dress with coordinating accessories in different shades of blue or purple.
Monochromatic looks are especially easy to pull off if you're going for a classy style on a budget because they allow you to buy fewer items and get more use out of them. If there's an item that doesn't fit into your wardrobe quite right but still has potential (maybe it's too big or too small), try layering other pieces over it until it works!
Sometimes you just need a quick and easy way to look put together without spending too much time on your outfit. A great way to do this is by wearing an all-neutral color outfit, such as black, white, grey or navy blue. You can also try mixing shades of the same color throughout your entire wardrobe. This helps create an overall monochromatic look that will elevate any casual outfit into something more sophisticated without having to spend much money at all!
Whether you take more of your fashion inspiration from the catwalk or from street style, color blocking is one trend that you simply cannot escape. I don't mean paneling in two different colors on a dress; rather, I mean wearing absolutely nothing but one color, including your outerwear and accessories. Color blocking from head to toe can be challenging, but with a little expertise and some helpful hints, this trend may be much more approachable than you might imagine. The tones are the key to the game. A real fashion statement, look amazing when done well, darker hues are easy to handle and are much more subdued. If a certain shade suits you particularly well, then this is the appearance you should focus on. If you choose a dress, all you need to do is make sure your accessories coordinate; if you're feeling really bold, matching is exactly what you should do.
Although you might think that monochromatic outfits need less effort, they can actually be rather challenging to pull off, particularly if you choose to wear bright colors or light neutrals. You may also try combining burgundy with crimson or cherry red since those colors go well together across the spectrum. For the entire impact, just make sure they are all warm or cool tones.
I know I am talking about tones in this blog a lot, those are certainly the most important thing to consider while choosing an outfit. Let me know in the comments section below if you would like to see a detailed video on tones and hues and how to choose outfits based on that.
4. Structured handbag
I cannot stress this point enough, If you're looking to add a little class to your wardrobe, then consider investing in a structured handbag. These types of bags are perfect for anyone who wants to look their best without breaking the bank. They come in all shapes and sizes--from small crossbody evening clutches to large laptop bags--so there's no excuse not to find one that fits your needs perfectly!
A structured handbag will help you look classy, and it's a good investment. You can find a structured handbag for a fraction of the price if you know where to look! They come in any color and size, which means that no matter what your style is or what kind of outfit you're wearing, there's bound to be something out there that fits perfectly with the rest of your ensemble.
There is a handbag for every occasion. A handbag truly combines fashion and utility.
5. Accessories that pull everything together
Accessories are a great way to express your personality and mood, as well as finish off an outfit. They're also a budget-friendly way to get unique pieces that make you stand out from the crowd. Here are some ideas for accessories:
· Jewelry: necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings can add something extra special to any outfit! If you don't want to spend too much then consider saving up for one really good piece of jewelry instead of many less expensive ones. I love my jewelry from Analuisa, I have been wearing their jewelry pieces for 2 years now and they have never tarnished or changed color, or even broken on me. Obviously, I don’t wear them in the shower, but I wear these every day. And these are Perfect for layering and pulling your outfit together nicely.
One of the simplest ways to unify a look is with Sunglasses, and a neutral color is always a good choice. With effortless style, simply add sunglass to any outfit to complete the look. You may enhance the look of your clothing, show off your personality, and add flair with a variety of sunglasses.
I will link a few of my budget-friendly options in the description box below so don’t forget to check them out.
The same dress can have so many different looks thanks to a belt. Additionally, it helps prevent a tunic or shirt dress from looking formless. If you want to conceal waistline flaws or enhance your waist, a good rule of thumb is to assist in breaking up the transition between a loose top and tight bottom, or the opposite. To define your contours beneath layers like a blouse, jacket, or cardigan, add a belt.
Scarves are one of the simplest ways to transform an outfit. A beautiful silk scarf can instantly transform a look that consists of a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. By putting a scarf around your neck, you may dress up in a gown. This is a great alternative for dresses with a waistline or a belt. Use a printed scarf to create matching stripes or make a one-of-a-kind look. Matching your accessories to the hues of your shoes is a great idea. This might help your clothing look balanced visually. Try your scarf in black, for example, if you are wearing black shoes Or, if you already have a red scarf, try wearing a shoe with the same bold pop of color.
Accessories are the perfect way to make your outfit unique. They can also be a great way to express yourself, or even just show off the things you like.
